Logo development
I used the ideas that I had made and illustrated them by using Photoshop for the first development and illustrator for the second. I wanted a clearer view of what they would look like in a digital development and the impact they could make. Again, the first image of the ideas are too basic and show no meaning, where as the second image of the development does. At the moment, they seem messy, but I have chosen the one that has caught my eye and I will clean up the idea to make it pleasing to look at and neat.
First thought
I chosen this design because it's simple, but it shows the 3 factors of investment. Again, the needle stands for the 'maker', the infinity sign stands for 'purchaser' as it lasts longer, but overall it looks like a double samara, which is off a maple tree; they are also referred as 'helicopters' or 'whirligigs'. These twirl to the ground in late summer or early fall, which reminded me of how it is linked to the Planet factor.
At first, the infinity sign was at the top of the needle, which made a 'T' like image. I then added my typeface underneath. However, The logo looks too big for the typeface to be at the bottom and it didn't make sense that the infinity sign was right at the top.
Other thought
So I decided to move the infinity sign down new the hole of the needle to make it look like it was threaded through. It still creates a "T" like shape and the 3 factors, but it seemed better to make it look like needle and thread. Furthermore, I moved the typeface to the middle of the logo so it wasn't taking up too much space so it can fit here, there and everywhere and I made it look like the needle was through the typography to give it more of an effect.
