Experimentation

These experimentations are going to be inspired by artists that I have researched, and I will develop them in my own style.

Milton Glaser experiments

This style of work is inspired by Milton Glaser. I wanted to do experiments like him because he used glowing colours and his work really caught my attention when looking for artists to appraise. To be honest, I enjoyed designing experiments likes Milton Glaser; it's vintage and it seems interesting to look at. It gives good vibes by showing so much colour, but defining the silhouette as well.

Pilar Zeta experiments

This style was inspired by Pilar Zeta, who is mainly known for creating the album for Cold play. I wanted to create something like this because her work was a head of it's time. I wanted to show a different perspective of what she designs and develop a variety of space like imagery. I thought this experimentation was alright to create. I didn't enjoy it as much as I could, but I've shown a range of characteristics in the work.

Nadia Flowers experiments

For this style, I was inspired by Nadia Flowers scribble designs that I found on an Illustrators website. Her work really caught my eye because it seemed grungy, but also pleasant; so what I wanted to do was to hand draw a variety of things and make a retro type of look and too create my own drawing rather than do the same as her. I enjoyed this experimentation because I could do the designing naturally and not use a computer. It felt good to just express myself when drawing and by that, I created my own little characters.

Keith Haring experiment

For this style of work, I was inspired by Keith Haring and his illustrations that made awareness of sexual diseases. For me, I wanted to create something like his work, but make sure it linked with what I was doing for my brand. To be honest, I liked the colours that he used, so I made sure my colours were bright as his and in my opinion, doing these experiments were okay. Some of the designs aren't the best, but the together experiment was the best by far out of all the Keith Haring experiments.

Jean Jullien experiment

For this style of work, I was inspired by Jean Jullien. I used known sayings like "butter someone up" and "cool as a cucumber" to create something different than Jean Jullien. At first, I really liked his work, but once I experimenting, I didn't enjoy designing like he does. To be honest, I got really bored and so I only got to create 2 designs, because they took time, but also I wasn't enjoying creating them.
