History of Clothing

Of course, clothing is items worn on your body and It can be made from animal skin, textiles and other sheets of material and fabric. The amount and type of clothing worn depend on body type, social, and geographic considerations and some clothing can be gender-specific; which overall means it's really restricted for human beings.

According to archaeologists and anthropologists, the earliest that they have researched was when it original started 'Before Christ (BC)'. The clothing consisted of fur, leather, leaves, or grass that were draped, wrapped, or tied around the body and they have identified very early sewing needles of bone and ivory from about 30,000 BC, which was found near Kostenki, Russia in 1988. There are still debates on when clothing actually originated from, but scientists have conducted a genetic analysis of human body lice that suggests clothing originated quite recently, around 170,000 years ago.

When making clothing, some cultures just use animal fur and skin to keep them warm and protected, whilst others changed to use cloth such as woven, knitted or twined from various animal and vegetable fibers including wool, linen, cotton, silk, hemp, and ramie. Making fabric by hand is a tedious and labor-intensive process involving fiber making, spinning, and weaving, which now-a-days, people take for granted. It involves measuring, cutting, and sewing the cloth by hand or with a sewing machine. Over thousands of years, clothing has developed from nothing into something that you wouldn't imagine. Of course, we wear clothes still, but they have been constructed into further styles and trends are being made throughout each year and clothing will develop further through the years with out even realising it.
